This is a recipe I found that really helps to remove chlorine from my hair. As I am usually in a highly chlorinated tank for a few hours each week, my hair gets pretty bad. This recipe also cleans dogs, bud vases, and about anything else you need to get really clean and didn't think you could.
I don't usually leave it on for thirty minutes. Maybe I should.
Chlorine out
1. Mix 2 tablespoons baking soda, 1 cup fresh lemon juice, and 1 teaspoon of mild shampoo together until well blended.
2. Wet hair and massage mixture into hair and scalp, making sure hair ends are coated.
3. Cover hair with a plastic bag, shower cap, or towel and leave on for 30 minutes.
4. Rinse hair well and shampoo as usual.
